Find Your Spiritual Fingerprint

At Salem we believe that people enjoy serving more when they are serving in their giftedness.  That is why we have partnered with Diana Myers and Gifts of Grace Ministry to help people discover their passions and gifts.

You have an opportunity to find out how God has uniquely designed you and be a part of serving others at Salem and in the community. In order to find out what ministry you are best fit to serve, take the Spiritual Fingerprint Assessment and receive your own unique profile from me within one to two weeks. See how God has equipped YOU to make an impact for the Kingdom of God.

Tech Ministry

The Crew at Salem provides opportunities to support other ministries behind the scenes.

Setup/Tear Down Crew

Each weekend we need a team of people to setup for church and clean up after church.  This involves the stage, chairs, and other furniture.  Setup normally happens on Saturday and takes about two hours.  Clean up happens right after church and usually takes about one and a half hours.

Media Operator

The media operator provides visual support for worship services. Media is used to support the service by projecting lyrics, Bible passages, readings and videos. The time commitment for the 10:30 media operator is 8:45am - 11:30 on a Sunday morning. This includes time for rehearsal and the service.

The time commitment for the 8am service is 7:50am - 9am.

Ambassadors & Altar guild

Our Ambassadors are the hands, feet, and smiling face of Christ at our services!  From greeting guests to handing out bulletins to preparing wine for communion, our services would not run smoothly without the dedicated volunteers who serve each week in this ministry.

Greeters

Greeters typically serve in teams of two or three once a month on Sundays, and their main job is to greet everyone who comes through our doors and make them feel welcome!  They also help ushers collect offering during the service.  Greeters are asked to arrive 25 minutes prior to the start of service.  If you like people, this is a great way to serve.  We can adjust your service days to best suit your schedule.

Ushers

Ushers typically serve once a month on Sundays in teams of two.  They help ensure service elements are in place prior to service, hand out bulletins, collect offering, and help dismiss the congregation for communion.  Ushers will also assist the pastor with baptisms.  Ushers are asked to arrive 25 minutes prior to the start of service.  Both men and women are welcome to serve as ushers.  We can adjust your service days to best suit your schedule.

Communion Assistants

Communion Assistants typically serve once a month in teams of three to assist the pastor with communion distribution.  Assistants simply show up for service and come up during communion.  This is a great way to serve the church with a minimal time commitment. We can adjust your service days to best suit your schedule.

Altar Guild

Our Altar Guild teams are responsible for setting up the altars and communion elements each week.  Setup will typically occur on Saturday afternoon and takes approximately one hour, and cleanup will occur immediately following the conclusion of Sunday services for approximately a half hour.  Altar Guild team members serve for a one month period during the year in teams of two or three.

children's ministry

Do you love working with children? Consider serving with our Children's Ministry team!

Sunday School Leader

Our Sunday School leaders serve once ever two months on Sunday mornings at 10:30am.  You will be responsible for helping create and teach a lesson on a specific topic for our Kindergarten through 5th grade students.  We request that our leaders arrive 20 minutes prior to service, and cleanup is minimal afterwards.  Share in the joy of helping our little ones grow in their faiths! VBS Volunteer

VBS is an exciting week where we have the opportunity to share Jesus' love with the children in our community.  It takes an army of dedicated volunteers to make this week a success.  Consider volunteering one, two, or even all five days!  Whether you help run crafts, lead music, tell stories, play games, or lead a class, you will surely be blessed as you are a blessing to our children.  All volunteers must attend a half hour training and must be at least in Junior High.

For more information, or to volunteer, contact Leigh Anne.
